Blanchard Machinery Bus & Truck Service Coordinator in West Columbia, South Carolina
Provide dedicated service support for all Bus & Truck Service Operations. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, processing all bus & truck service work orders with a goal to manage inefficiencies and maximize gross profit and warranty recovery. Will also work closely with the Service Managers and have sole responsibility in preparing all Truck Service Warranty work orders for submittal.

Completes all job responsibilities in a safe manner, promotes and champions a safe and healthy work environment.
Establish a strong working relationship with Bluebird, Microbird, Roush, Allison, Ford, Cummins, 3rd party vendors and shop Service Managers.
Opens/Closes work orders to include warranty department and customer.
Monitor status of each vehicle repair to ensure that all appropriate information is collected to ensure timely invoicing.
Review all work orders prior to closing to ensure appropriate information is included in Service Link.
Submit preapprovals for warranty work orders over $1,000.
Review/Prepare all bus warranty claims for submittal.
Follow up on all warranty claims, credits, payments, warranty variance rate etc.
Ensure 3rd party vendors are invoice for none OEM warranty repairs.
Gather purchase order numbers and approvals for closing work orders.
Assist TEPS dealers with warranty claims as needed.
Review Bus service recalls and service letters to make sure they are up to date.
Assist in tracking parts orders for bus repairs.
Communicate with Service Managers on updates on repairs.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Associates Degree in Business Administration, Communications or related field required.
Related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience in lieu of degree.
Must have a technical background in basic vehicle maintenance and operations.
Excellent organizational and communication skills.
Ability to change priorities and remain productive in a fast-paced work environment.
Perform duties with a sense of urgency, exceeding customer expectations.
Ability to work with various departments and foster teamwork.
Excellent knowledge of computer software and applications, including Microsoft Office and customer relationship manager (CRM) software.
Flexible to work outside of normal business hours when needed to meet customer needs.
The physical environment requires the employee to work primarily inside and occasionally outside throughout the year.
Position requires employee to be physically present at the job site location.
Job requires standing, stooping, squatting, pushing, pulling, twisting, turning, lifting.
Seeing, reading, and writing to complete job responsibilities.
Use of computer and other forms of technology to complete job responsibilities.
