Purpose/Summary

Responsibility to ensure a safe work environment, provide premier customer service, reduce operating costs, inventories and lead times through continuous improvement.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

  • Ensures all work stations stay full of components for building process

  • Liaises between team and Area Manager.

  • Assists in training of team members.

  • Reassigns team members due to absences or production needs.

  • Assists in resolving conflicts within the team.

  • Assists in informing team of goals, results and Akebono policies and practices.

  • Assists in maintaining communications between shifts.

  • Communicates with other teams and support departments as needed.

  • Assists with data collection and reporting.

  • Assists with resolving technical and quality issues.

  • Ensures compliance with all safety policies and procedures.

  • Management time and attendance.

Education and/or Experience (minimum required for the position) High School diploma or GED is required. Minimum of six (6) months experience as a Team Leader, Supervisor, or Trainer.

Essential Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Must possess good interpersonal and leadership skills.

  • Must possess good written / verbal communication skills.

  • Assist with APS implementation.

  • Working knowledge in area assigned preferred.

Supervisory Responsibilities This position has no direct supervisory responsibility.

Physical Demands/Environment While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand walk/move; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
