Responsible for performing all tasks and activities necessary to maintain the manufacturing equipment capable of running efficiently on a continuous basis and assure all manufacturing systems are running within expected uptime/scrap limits and according to operation instruction. This position is responsible for the development of technical trainings of the Production Maintenance Technicians.
Duties are listed in order of greatest importance. The incumbent may be asked to perform other function-related activities in addition to the below mentioned responsibilities as reasonably required by business needs.

•Communicates effectively by maintaining communication with the Engineering Manager and others throughout the organization, representing maintenance operation in meetings on a continuous basis.
•Complies with QRS, ISO and all applicable regulations and company procedures.
•Complies with Quality Manual by assuring compliance to maintenance guidelines and assuring good record keeping is maintained.
•Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results; keeping business information confidential; administering the system security; ensuring data accuracy and integrity; maintaining updated professional and technical knowledge; assuring systems compliance with laws, regulations, and corporate standards; ensuring a safe and healthy environment.
•Ensures operation of equipment by implementing preventive maintenance and corrective actions as needed and assuring maximum efficiency on setups and line changes.
•Ensures that the specifications for the new equipment, parts, products, projects and services include environmental considerations and identify opportunities and propose ideas for minimize or eliminate environmental aspects or impacts.
•Facilitates individual development within the maintenance department by providing troubleshooting guidelines to technicians, identifying training needs and providing for completion of necessary trainings in order to accomplish with the organizational objectives.
•Follows prescribed safety procedures, and maintains compliance with federal and local laws regulating waste disposal methods.
•Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies.
•Maintains safe and healthy work environment by assuring compliance of all safety requirements.
•Satisfies operational needs by planning and defining resources needed to maintain new and existing equipment and supporting transfers of technology new equipment.
•Supports manufacturing operations by prioritizing manufacturing necessities.
•Supports technical group by documenting any needs for equipment modifications and/or changes and propose actions to be taken.
Industrial, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering
Experience in Maintenance support functions and supervision in a medical device or pharmaceutical environment
Demonstrated problem solving skills
Quickly troublseshoots and resolves problems
Effective interpersonal skills
Excellent collaboration and team building skills
Proficient in English written and verbal communication skills
Advanced knowledge of pneumatics, schematics, machine design, automation and controls.
Knowledge of basic cGMP maintenance practices within a controlled environment and documentation practices for a Medical Device Industry.
Computer literate (MS Office applications). Manage documentation, spares, and preventive maintenance systems.
Basic knowledge of CNC programming (preferred).
Proven knowledge in the use and reading of technical measuring devices such as calipers, micrometers, temperature devices, pressure gauges and electrical VOM.
