DESCRIPTION: Under direct supervision of the Director of Counseling & Outreach Services, serves as a temporary part-time Admissions Counselor at Shaw Air Force Base Education Office. Manages CCTC education office to include processing financial transactions, maintaining the budget, and monitoring the security of student files. Processes admissions and testing for military-affiliated students through Base Education Office. Advises and counsels students in career and academic areas. Provides fundamental financial aid counseling. Provides registration assistance to students. Attends meetings and events to ensure adherence to military regulations. Attends admissions trainings to stay abreast on program offerings and requirements. Serves as a backup counselor at outreach locations when needed. Provides customer service in a professional manner to both internal and external customers. Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential. Twenty five (25) hours weekly.
Minimum and Additional Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS: Master’s degree; or Bachelor’s degree and two (2) years experience in student services programs.
