American Credit Acceptance Manager, Account Operations in Spartanburg, South Carolina

The Manager, Account Operations is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations, processes, procedures, improvements, and people development of the Account Operations and Payment Processing Departments. In addition, this position will partner with other leaders throughout the company to improve processes, communication, and resolves issues, as appropriate.

  • Creates, executes, analyzes, and actions on performance reports including dashboards to show summaries, key trends, comparisons, and exceptions

  • Performs budgetary responsibilities

  • Partners with other leaders to manage payment vendors

  • Other tasks as assigned

  • 5+ years of experience in a fast paced, high demand production environment

  • 2+ years of leadership experience

  • Strong team player with a high level of professionalism and initiative

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively lead and motivate a team while aligning with our Guiding Principles

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as exceptional listening skills

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, data analysis, and an ability to learn new systems

  • Forward thinker with a strategic vision

  • Process oriented with proven track record of developing and implementing process improvement initiatives as well as operational disciplines

  • Ability to work independently or in a group

  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities in an ambiguous environment

  • Flexibility and openness to change

  • Hunger to learn and grow

  • 6 Sigma experience is preferred

  • Background in subprime auto loan servicing is preferred

Supervisory Responsibility

This position requires supervisory responsibilities of a team of Account Operations and Payment Processing Supervisors.

Work Environment and Physical Demands

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position with a work schedule of Monday-Friday with some schedule variations as needed.


Up to 10% travel is expected for this position.
