About the Position: This is a term NTE 30-SEP-2022 as an IT Specialist (Data Management) with US Army Central G6 Programs Policy & Projects Section, Shaw AFB, SC. The incumbent serves as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on all facets of a record management system in support of the Records Management Program. The records management system enables discovery and management of unstructured data and the preservation of records for historical and legal purposes.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) experience advising users and managers on the principles, concepts or methods used to support database technology; 2) experience analyzing technology programs for ways to increase their efficiency and effectiveness; 3) experience developing and presenting recommendations for improvements; 4) experience coordinating database development and implementation for an organization, ensuring compliance with industry best practices; and 5) experience providing leadership guidance of technical projects. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
