We're looking for an enthusiastic Program Coordinator I for our State Office who will analyze and evaluate eligibility determinations and case processing actions to determine compliance with SNAP regulations and state policy. Ensure that proper benefits are issued in compliance of all SNAP regulations. Make recommendations to the supervisor and other managers for corrective action strategies to improve program operations and service delivery.
The Program Coordinator I review samples of SNAP cases each month to determine accuracy of policy application, coding, case decisions, timeliness of actions, and adequacy of payments. Review findings are used to compute process measures, performance outcome measures, and to produce mandated reports required for continuance of federal funding. Review procedures include:
Analyze case records and computer systems information to gather and evaluate pertinent data.
Conduct in-depth personal interviews with clients and collaterals.
Evaluate verified data and determining accuracy of payments and compliance with standard of service delivery.
Conducting error meetings and training sessions for corrective action purposes.

Minimum and Additional Requirements
A Bachelor's Degree and two (2) years of professional experience in social services programs, correctional, education, business administration, general administrative management or relevant program experience.
A Master's Degree and one (1) year of professional experience in social services programs, correctional, education, business administration, general administrative management or relevant program experience.
Thorough knowledge of principles and practices of interviewing and investigating techniques. Thorough knowledge of SNAP Program policies and the agency's client history profile (CHIP) system. Knowledge of federal regulations and the agency's policies concerning SNAP eligibility requirements.
