SC Department of Public Safety **Certified Nursing Assistant A&B/Human Services Assistant II/Float CNA A&B in Richland County, South Carolina
This position is located within **Nursing Services located at 2200 Harden Street
Seeking Full-Time, flexible candidates willing to work twelve (12) hour shifts, across (float) the Department of Mental Health Inpatient Services Campuses. **
You will perform varied and special assignments in giving personal care to the residents. Works under supervision and established practices. Performs and assists residents with personal cleanliness and hygiene (ADL's). Feeds and assists residents with meals, snacks and supplements. Observes, reports and documents any changes in residents condition and/or behavior. Participates in restorative therapies according to care plan and individual needs. Participates in restorative therapies according to care plan and individual needs. Participates in Resident Care Conference.
Responsible for assisting in guiding and helping residents by working with them in groups and individually, by planning and conducting group meetings, encouraging communication, self-esteem and socialization. Conducts selective individual and group activities.
Minimum and Additional Requirements
State Requirement: There are no minimum training and experience requirements for this class.
Agency Requirement: CNA-A: High school diploma or GED with no experience. Must possess a SC Nurse Aide Certification for Long Term Care.
CNA-B: High school diploma or GED with (1) year experience. Must possess a SC Nurse Aide Certification for Long Term Care.
Note: If any Agency Requirements are listed above, applicants must also meet those requirements to be considered for the position. Salary may vary depending on experience.
Physical Qualifications: Ability to lift up to fifty (50) pounds; ability to stand, walk, reach, pull, push, stoop, bend and climb at least two (2) or three (3) flights of stairs. Ability to tolerate noise level and circulate in patient areas for long periods. Must be able to work with repetitive unusual patient behaviors.
