Lead Federal Information Systems Security Engineer
As a Lead Federal Information Systems Security Engineer, you will be responsible for extracting, managing, and analyzing complex network and IT component data and applying AI/ML concepts to uncover opportunities for process improvement. You will be using a variety of data mining/data analysis methods, using a variety of data tools, building and implementing models, using/creating algorithms and creating/running simulations. You will be responsible for the analysis and development of the integration, testing, operations and maintenance of federal systems security. You will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to analyze, define and validate functional and legal/regulatory system security controls and requirements. You will apply knowledge of security principles, policies and regulations to design and engineer system security solutions that meet federal security requirements and reduce the client’s operational and security risks by applying risk management frameworks. You will conduct security impact analysis and system risk assessments to identify potential security threats and recommend enhancements to improve deficiencies. You will create and execute plans for system security testing, assessment and authorization for deployment. You will implement system security solutions, perform ongoing performance audits and system maintenance and provide support for performance issues. You will develop business continuity and recovery plans, processes and procedures in accordance with risk management framework and applicable security controls. You will organize, develop and present security briefings, written summaries and reports and whitepapers related to computer and network security technologies and tools.

B asic Qualifications
Bachelor degree in Information Security, Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent work experience.
At least 8 years of Information Technology security work experience.
At least six years of Federal information technology security work experience.
At least 5 years in Data Science or similar field.
At least 5 years of experience manipulating datasets and building statistical models.
At least five years of experience using statistical computer languages (e.g. Python, R, etc.) to collect, manipulate, and extract insights from large complex data sets from multiple sources.
At least five years of data analysis and presentation tools.
At least five years of experience in programming and scripting languages (e.g., R, Python, Java, C++, C).
At least five years of experience with distributed data, cloud computing tools, and big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark, RedShift, SageMaker, Map/Reduce, and Hive).
At least five years of experience in statistical and data mining techniques such as GLM/Regression, Random Forest, Trees, text mining, Boosting, etc.
At least five years of experience with key IT/Cybersecurity concepts (Network Security, Security Operations & Administration, Incident Response & Recovery, Identity and Access Management, Vulnerability Management etc.
8570 IASAE Level II – CISSP certification, OS certification (MCSE or CCDP equivalent is preferred).
DoD 8140 Category – CSSP Incident Responder.
Willing to work additional or irregular hours as needed and allowed by local regulations
Work in accordance with corporate and organizational security policies and procedures, understand personal role in safeguarding corporate and client assets, and take appropriate action to prevent and report any compromises of security within scope of position
