Job Summary:

Our plant in Newberry, SC, a leading manufacturer of process water chillers, has an immediate opening for a full time entry level Mechanical Engineer.

Responsibilities:

  • Entering bills of materials

  • Establishing and entering routing steps

  • Maintain engineering changes for existing product

  • Maintain system integrity while assigning part numbers, product classes, etc.

  • Requires close interaction with other dept. such as Customer Service, Production Control and other manufacturing areas

  • Provide continuous product improvement of existing unit designs

  • Provide equipment trouble shooting including microprocessor control systems

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required

  • Excellent PC skills (Word, Excel, Access)

  • CAD skills, with ability to create basic 2D drawings and ability to read and understand mechanical drawings

  • Ability to handle frequent change of priorities based on business needs and to self-manage activities based on those priorities
