Kelly Services Supplier Quality Engineer in Liberty, South Carolina

Kelly Engineering Resources has an excellent direct hire Supplier Quality Engineer role with an industry leader in Liberty, SC. This position offers competitive compensation, growth potential and a positive work environment

The Supplier Quality Engineer works with the Procurement, Engineering, and Quality departments in coordination with external vendors for technical communication associated with reliable materials and components required for production.

Supplier Quality Engineer Responsibilities Include:

  • Review and assess supplier manufacturing procedures, typically through supplier visits and observe their manufacturing process environment through the use of audits.

  • Review of MRNs to ensure supplier is at fault before taking action. Work with the supplier (in coordination with the buyer) to correct and close the MRN.

  • Work with ERP team to develop supplier scorecards which can include DPMO, on-time delivery, and other objective criteria. Use these scorecards to regularly communicate with suppliers, addressing any concerns and issues while fostering an environment that facilitates continual improvement in working relationships

  • Develop a supplier quality manual for Reliable Procurement Department. Will include incorporation of first piece requirements, creation of forms, packaging documentation, corrective action reports, audit schedule.

Quality Engineer Job Requirements:

  • BS Degree in an Engineering discipline

  • Previous Supplier Quality experience in a manufacturing environment
