Sr. Mechanical Engineering (Liberty, SC )

Our client in Fire Protection Systems is currently hiring a Lead Mechanical Engineer to design and create new, and existing products. Taks will focus on improvement and cost reduction, while integrating the need of sales and manufacturing for the organization.

This is a Direct Hire role.

?Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Executes all phases of product development from design concepts to release for production.

Responsible for developing, documenting, and controlling each project plan from initial design concepts to initial production.

Manages new development projects which include schedules, costs, tooling and agency approvals.

Performs solid modeling designs to maintain design integrity.

Evaluates products for stress analysis, fluid flow, strength of materials, metallurgy, static analysis and elements of machine design for designing products.

Plans and budgets entire products development projects from design concepts to initial production.

Interprets engineering drawings checking for accuracy, dimensional tolerances and completeness of all design drawings and specification sheets.

Attends product repair and/or witness testing at national laboratories of requirements for completing approvals and listings of new and revised product designs.

Promote a safe workplace by performing all tasks in a safe and thoughtful manner in compliance with all rules, procedures, instructions, devices, equipment and use of appropriate personal protective equipment. Maintain vigilance for any hazardous conditions or practices in the workplace and immediately report any unsafe conditions or practice to your supervisor


Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering and/or Related Field.

Engineering Experience in Mechanical Design and/or Related Field.

3 + years in Sprinkler System and Plumbing Standards and Practices.

Experience with directing and implementing processes.

Ability to solve complex technical problems by proposing solutions.

Outstanding attention to detail and accuracy.

Strong customer service, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.

Possesses strong commitment to a team environment while working well with others.

Ability to interpret engineer drawings and terminology.

Knowledge of manufacturing processes include but not limited to machining, die and sand casting, metal stamping and extrusion and application of coatings and finishes.

Knowledge of drafting and design work.

Knowledge of prototyping, testing of devices, and working with machines.
