Humana Senior Culture and Engagement Professional in Lancaster, South Carolina


The Senior Culture and Engagement Professional manages all aspects of culture and engagement projects, including activities designed to foster associates well-being and engagement aligned with the company's culture and values. The Senior Culture and Engagement Professional work assignments involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.


Supports and/or lead culture and engagement initiatives and programs, including activities designed to foster associates well-being and engagement aligned with the company's culture and values. Implements the Resolution Team’s Well-Being, Associate Engagement, Talent Growth & Development, and Inclusion & Diversity activities aimed at improving overall associate experience. Partners and influences initiatives for the broader CPSS service organization’s well-being and engagement efforts. Makes recommendations on changes or additions to broader program initiatives to reflect changing needs of employees. Uses data and analytics from associate engagement, well-being index survey and other data sources to guide the strategy and program evaluation. Develops creative, clear-written material in support of the organization's communications strategies related to culture and engagement. Helps plan and develop internal or external communications in partnership with other Communication Professionals. Support the design and implementation leader competency tools, employee on-boarding, recognition programs and career development. May help design learning materials as well as facilitate learning to associates related to the areas of Culture, Well-Being, Growth & Development, and Inclusion & Diversity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the implementation of the Resolution Team Culture and Engagement strategy.

  • Partner across the broader CPSS organization with other culture professionals to scale initiatives.

  • Evaluate and measure impact and improvement of key metrics related to Culture, Engagement, Well-Being, Talent Development, and Inclusion & Diversity and develop recommendations for continuous improvement.

  • Partner across the Resolution Team leadership organization to develop strong partnership, collaboration and coalitions for driving Culture & Engagement efforts deep into the organization for improved associate experience.

  • Partner with Human Resources to scale culture, diversity and development initiatives.

  • Create and facilitate leader/associate development sessions.

  • Conduct virtual events that improve associate culture, internal growth and well-being.

  • Support leader meetings and all associate town hall events.

Required Qualifications

  • Proven ability to collaborate, influence and build trusting relationships with stakeholders

  • Possess a passion for people and creating a winning culture that supports associates’ growth, development, and well-being

  • Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to facilitate or present to large groups

  • Superior attention to detail, ability to meet tight deadlines, and manage multiple priorities

  • Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills

  • Proven ability to improve existing processes

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint and Excel

  • Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences

  • Background or familiarity with operations

  • Must ensure designated work area is free from distractions during work hours and virtual meetings

  • Must provide a high-speed DSL or cable modem for a workspace (Satellite and Hotspots are prohibited). A minimum standard speed of 10x1 (10mbs download x 1mbs upload) for optimal performance of is required

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years experience leading culture, talent, and/or learning strategies

  • Bachelor's degree or Master's Degree in a related field

  • Background or familiarity with CMS Regulations and compliance

  • Experience leading Inclusion & Diversity and leadership development strategies

  • Background or familiarity with operations
