SC Department of Public Safety Administrative Coordinator I in Horry County, South Carolina

Job Responsibilities

This position is in the South Strand Clinic, 9630 Scipio Lane Myrtle Beach, SC 29588

You will, under limited supervision, plan, direct and coordinate the administrative duties of the Business Office in the South Strand Satellite Office for Waccamaw Center for Mental Health. You will make decisions and apply written or unwritten policies to perform various tasks that have a significant impact on the daily operations of the South Strand Satellite Office.

You will oversee the daily operations of the Business Office to include; greeting and directing patients and visitors, notify staff when patients arrive, collect and verify patient information and insurances, answer and direct incoming calls, schedule/reschedule appointments using EMR, complete intake paperwork and enter data into CIS and EMR, scan and import, process and receipt payments, print schedules, and maintain quality control over system input.

You will complete and monitor monthly reports to include postings, financial updates, self-pay and co-pays, purchasing, credit cards, and missing diagnosis report.

You will maintain documentation of charts and other records in accordance with Federal, State, Local, SCDMH, WCMH, Quality Assurance, Corporate Compliance and CARF standards.

Minimum and Additional Requirements

STATE REQUIREMENTS: A high school diploma and relevant experience in business management, public administration, or administrative services or a bachelor's degree may be substituted for the required work experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Preferred: Knowledge of the principles, policies and practices of office management. Experience working in a community mental health setting.
