Summary of Primary Function/General Purpose of Position

The Clinical Research QA is responsible for monitoring and developing processes to assure the Research Department meets and/or exceed research standards of accurate and quality work. Actively engages in the prevention, detection, and resolution of instances of conduct that do not conform to protocol requirements, BSSF policies and procedures, FDA regulations, Good Clinical Practices, and IRB policies. Collaborates closely with Clinical Research Staff to ensure that key federal/state/local regulatory objectives are met; and that ethical obligations are kept. Educates staff in conjunction with Regulatory Team on current and changing FDA regulations, ICH guidelines, and SOPs. Reports status of overall quality on a regular basis, including summary information across all therapeutic areas, industry studies, and NCI studies.

Required Minimum Education:

4 year/ Bachelors Degree

Specialty/Major:

Health Related Field, BSN preferred

Preferred Education:

Graduate Degree (Masters)

Specialty/Major:

Health related Field

Licensing/ Certification - If registration, certification or licensure is required, include the name of the accrediting or licensing body.

Licensure/Certification Required:

Licensure/Certification Preferred:

RN, and/ or ACRP preferred

Minimum Qualifications

Minimum Years and Type of Experience:

2-3 yrs experience as clinical coordinator and/or regulatory coordinator

Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

Research

Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred:

1+ years of Oncology experience, Clinical Monitoring experience

  • Combination of post-secondary education and experience in lieu of a degree.
