Vectrus Recruiter Supervisor in Greenville, South Carolina


Primary Duties are to supervise a team of recruiters by assigning tasks, monitoring performance, developing/reviewing recruiting metrics and interfacing with the Strategic Staffing Manager for the LOGCAP V project to attract/hire candidates. Performs professional level duties to lead a team of recruiters to attract, screen, recruit, and select new employees for the LOGCAP V project. Additional duties when required are to conduct interviews for key/critical positions and screens applicants for technical competence, applicable background and skills, individual goals and ability to fit in the organization and function effectively. Assists managers and supervisors in selecting the most qualified candidates. Develop pipelines for upcoming award for specified programs.

Under the general supervision of the Strategic Staffing Manager, the Recruiter Supervisor will ensure the company attracts, hires and retains the best personnel for LOGCAPV, and field-based projects and programs as needed; mentors junior level recruiters and act as the leader in the recruiting team while working closely with the Strength Management Team to increase revenue.

  • Supervise a team of recruiters for positions within the LOGCAPV project and report on its performance.

  • Assist the Strategic Staffing Manager on creating, revising, and enforcing the Standard Operating Procedures for the recruiting team.

  • Works directly with the Strength Management Team to ensure the projects are staffed in accordance with the As bid/ Negotiated/Authorized/Approved/ Staffing Plans.

  • Assist the Strategic Staffing Manager on recruiting metrics.

  • Train and mentor new Strategic Staffing Team members.

  • Leads process improvement efforts in order to streamline or improve the full requisition lifecycle.

  • Ability to travel to phase in locations to lead recruiting activities.

  • Assist recruiting team members during phase-in and/or surge recruiting efforts when needed.

  • Research and recommend job advertising options.

  • Stay up-to-date on labor legislation and inform recruiters and managers about changes in regulations.

  • Coordinate with hiring managers to forecast future hiring needs.

  • Develops sources pro-actively for hard to fill or unusual positions, while following the hiring processes.

  • Maintain a strong customer service rating with internal customers to include conducting hiring strategies on all newly posted positions.

  • Plan, lead, coordinate, and participate in Job Fairs, Transition Seminars, and other recruiting activities throughout the U.S. and, occasionally in overseas locations. This position will require travel to domestic and overseas locations in support of recruiting activities. Some travel may be for extended periods of time to support far-reaching domestic and international recruiting activities.

  • As required, coordinate activities involved in external and internal selection. This includes, pre-screening applicants, setting up interviews and scheduling candidate travel, rental car and hotel arrangements for interviews, compiling interview results, and notification of applicants concerning their select/not-select status. Send out offer letters and coordinate offer negotiations between candidate and hiring managers.

  • Consult with the Strength Management Team and hiring managers regarding vacancies, candidate selection, and initial on-boarding processes.

  • Advises hiring managers on best practices for interviewing skills, talent acquisition process, and retention.

  • Build strong, trusted relationships with hiring managers to understand their business and staffing requirements, ensuring the highest quality of candidates are presented in a timely manner.

  • Collaborate with other members of the Strategic Staffing Team to drive talent acquisition efficiencies and performance.

  • Leads Mobile recruiting teams

  • Assists in LOGCAP V Transition administration, planning and execution

  • Complete additional HR duties as assigned.


  • Mandatory LOGCAP Qualifications:

  • As a precondition to charge more than 50% of their time to LOGCAP, must be able, willing and ready to deploy to domestic and international locations, including on a temporary basis and / or as a member of the Vectrus Rapid Deployment Team (RDT). These locations can include austere, remote, and hazardous areas where Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) may be required.

  • Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field preferred.

  • Ability to obtain a favorable T1 Background investigation: CAC eligibility preferred

  • Previous HR experience

  • Experience:

  • Experience supervising or leading small groups

  • Two years recruiting experience

  • Proficient with HR databases, Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and Candidate Management Systems (CMS)

  • Demonstrated knowledge of OFCCP, Sarbanes Oxley and DCAA guidelines

  • Experience with LOGCAP or other Government Contracts is required

  • Overseas recruiting experience is preferred

  • Working Conditions:

  • Work is generally conducted in an office environment; however, duties may occasionally involve working outside with a potential exposure to extreme temperatures

  • and war zones.

  • Physical Requirements:

  • Work may require heavy lifting, climbing, prolonged standing, prolonged sitting and working with or in areas where a potential could exist for exposure to physical, chemical, or biological agents. Employee use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required for some situations. PPE includes, but is not limited to head, foot, torso, respiratory, vision, and hearing protective devices. Must comply with all Fire and Safety Regulations and post policies.
