SWJ Technology Mergers and Acquisitions Intern in Greenville, South Carolina

Schedule: Monday ? Friday / Specific hours TBD

Weekly Overtime: Minimal, but as required

PURPOSE

We consider a merger or an acquisition as an option to help achieve one of our strategic objectives ? doubling the company size over the next three years. We want to offer an opportunity for an intern or an academic project to help us set up relevant investment opportunities.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Establish, coordinate, and document the investment target criteria

  • Identify, research, and profile potential acquisition candidates and/or organizations

  • Research and conduct valuations of a potential acquisition targets

  • Create a business case presentation for senior executives for each proposed acquisition

  • Assist with shepherding of the end-to-end M&A transaction process (from marketing to deal completion)

  • Expand with cultivating relationships between process partners through marketing and deal execution

  • Review company listings and several information databases to provide target information

  • Support due diligence processes

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Self-starter with exceptional organization, prioritization and multi-tasking abilities who thrives on new challenges and takes initiative.

  • Hardworking, professional, entrepreneurial, and eager to learn about private equity, corporate buyouts, and related fields of finance.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Student must be enrolled full time in undergraduate business school with a major in a relevant course of study.

  • Student should be a current junior, senior or graduate student in good standing with at least a 3.0 GPA (on a 4.0 scale).
