is assisting with the recruitment and training forPotential employment opportunities exist for:WelderW International is a full-service manufacturer of large complex welded metal fabrications for the Aerospace, Specialty Commercial, Defense, Energy, and Marine industries. Within the Defense sector, in addition to Combat Vehicles, our focus is on supporting US Navy platforms; especially submarines, aircraft carriers, and frigates. We have recently been certified to perform work to the highly critical NAVSEA weld specifications.The companys highly trained welders and technical staff are able to support the requirements associated with working with a diverse range of materials; including ballistic armor, aluminum, titanium, invar, and all mild and high strength steels.Responsibilities / Job Duties / Tasks:Must be able to pass Visual Test inspection for non-code welding.Must be able to set up welding machine with proper weld wire and shielding gas.Must be able to utilize all hand tools and grinders.Must be able to distinguish varying thicknesses of metal materials.Reports directly to the Weld Manager.Must be able to pass D1.1 bend test for 1.0" A-36 plate.Must be able to set up welding machine in accordance with and full understanding of WPS.Must be able to interpret weld symbols and build prints.Must be able to use grinder for proper pre-weld joint preparation and post-weld clean-up.Must be able to pass 1688 HY80 bend test for 2 plateMust be able to Visual Test own weldsHammers, chips, and grinds work piece to cut, bend, and straighten metal.Assist senior Welder/Fabricators when requested.Verifies conformance of work piece to specifications.Reports directly to the Weld Manager.Must be able to pass Welder Workmanship TrainingMust be adept with hand tools including measuring devices.Qualifications:Ability to stand continuously for long periods of timeWilling to work in excess of 40 hours a weekHigh school or equivalentMust be US CitizenWelding positions vary based on experience:D1.1 code welding or equivalent3+ years of D1.1 code welding or equivalent4+ years of D1.1 code welding or equivalentPreferred Skills:Welding positions vary based on experience:GMAW and GTAW abilityAbility to read a tape measureNAVSEA 1688 weld experienceHeavy structural, Military, or Aerospace weld backgroundOverhead crane experience
