SC Department of Public Safety Human Services Coordinator I/CCRI in Georgetown County, South Carolina

Under general supervision, provide individual assessments, crisis intervention, referral and brief case management services to individuals in the community who are experiencing a crisis situation. This position is in the Community Crisis Response and Intervention (CCRI) program. The overall purpose of this position is to provide rapid and mobile crisis intervention services in cooperation with county first responders to individuals who are best reached in their communities in order to efficiently meet needs for immediate safety/de-escalation and referral to appropriate level of follow-up care.
In addition to the normal work schedule, CCRI staff are expected to take on-call shifts for hourly pay to assist in providing 24/7 crisis response.
Minimum and Additional Requirements
State Requirements: A bachelor's Degree and professional experience in human services or social services programs.
Agency Requirements: A master's from an accredited program, university, or college in psychology, social work, counseling, marriage and family counseling or other behavioral discipline deemed equivalent by SCDMH and two (2) years of post-graduate experience in a clinical counseling program. Must be eligible to become a notary in the state of South Carolina.

*The selected applicant should have knowledge of principles and practices as related to the following: *normal and abnormal behavior adjustment techniques, clinical practices and interviewing techniques, legal principal and practices, investigative techniques, clinical counseling services, federal, state and local laws or regulations pertaining to a social service programs. Must also have the ability to organize and maintain a caseload, exercise discretion in interpreting and applying established objectives and the ability to effectively plan, coordinate and manage complex treatment interventions.
