Home Depot Warehouse Associate (Temporary) in Fort Mill, South Carolina
Position Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8am to 4:30pm (Hours may vary)
This is a Temporary position - lasting up to four months
The Warehouse Associate will manage primary and secondary tasks in a warehouse setting which will include stocking, order picking, order verification, packing, cycle counting, shipping/receiving and other general warehouse duties.
MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITIES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Receiving of parts into system
Putting parts into correct bin locations
Picking and packaging orders for shipment
Verify order accuracy
Organize and maintain item bin locations
Oversees disposal of surplus material and/or scrap products
Prepare boxes and shipping supplies for outbound shipments
Perform daily cycle counts
Process returned parts from Field Technicians
Assist with shipping orders using Fed Ex/UPS systems
Assist with general housekeeping duties
Assist with loading and offloading trucks
Backup as necessary for the warehouse
ENVIRONMENTAL JOB REQUIREMENTS
Environment: Working conditions include sitting and standing for extended time periods, repetitive movements of hands, occasional lifting of 80lb. equipment and occasional work at heights.
Must be eighteen years of age or older.
Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
Additional Minimum Qualifications:
Strong verbal and written communication skills
High level of professional ethics, tact, and courtesy in dealing with suppliers and co-workers
Strong computer and documentation skills
Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
RF scanner experience a plus
Prior Shipping and Receiving experience
Education Required: H.S. Diploma or Equivalent
Years of Relevant Work Experience: 3 years
