The Mechanical New Product Introduction Manager reports to the Sr. Manager of Product Introduction and plans and coordinates all NPI activities from mechanical and systems engineering disciplines to meet the defined projects and programs from both Unit Platform Manager and Unit PMO.
Provide technical leadership to the Mechanical NPI team and ensure NPI project deliverables are met
Drive performance to plan and achieve schedule, delivery, and financial commitments
Lead the mechanical team to address mechanical system program risk and issues; create, maintain and drive action plans to closure
Organize and conduct program status reviews, team meetings, and various other regular departmental activities
Coach, lead, and mentor team members
Work effectively through all phases of design and manufacturing, including development and implementation of solutions to meet customer requirements
Direct the work of employees assigned to the program from technical, manufacturing and administrative areas
Strong project planning and resource management skills
Strong leadership skills
Strong Mechanical and Systems Engineering background
Coaching and mentoring
Conflict resolution and negotiation skills
BS Degree in mechanical engineering degree with 10+ years’ experience
MA/MS degree with 5 to 7+ years’ experience
Product development programs delivered on time and complete
