Kelly Services is recruiting for a Direct Hire opportunity in the Florence, SC area

The purpose of this position is to manage flow of orders / shipments and workers engaged in lifting, transporting, storing and loading materials of finished and raw materials for Kingstree plant.

Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities

• Coordinate orders and determine best option; pick from inventory/Kanban, substitute, or produce.

• Manage orders to best suit customer needs and maintain optimum loading efficiency.

• Schedule carrier shipments & match appt times to resources using Trello.

• Pick and allocate rolls for orders.

• Communicate freight rates / field CSR questions.

• Forecast, procure, & manage raw materials needed for order production.

• Implement Kanban type inventory controls where applicable

• Manage supplies inventory – stores, bags, slings, cores, etc…

Basic Qualifications

• Three (3) years of supervisory experience and five (5) years of logistics experience.

• High school diploma required.

• AS degree in Business or BS degree a plus.

• Proficient in Ax, Excel, and Word.

• Able to perform large data set calculations and analysis for physical inventory.

• Ability to lift 50 lbs.

• Ability to climb on and off stationary work areas 3-6 feet high.

Job Description:

• Pick and allocate rolls for orders.

• Forecast, procure, & manage raw materials needed for order production.

• Implement Kanban type inventory controls where applicable

• Manage supplies inventory – stores, bags, slings, cores, etc…

• Manage slow moving inventory.

• Drive Q-hold inventory disposition with lab manager.

• Coordinate all physical inventory efforts as scheduled.

• Manage assets (forklifts, docks, racks…).

• Manage waste disposal / dumpster costs.

• Manage railroad traffic & minimize demurrage costs.

• Investigate Shipping errors / complaints & implement / Corrective actions.

• Supervise assigned staff with Materials Coordinator, Logistics Clerk, Yard Supervisor, & crew:

o Accountable for the total safety and efficiency of department.

o Coordinate accurate placement of materials in yard and warehouses.

o Perform physical inventories; maintain accuracy.

o Coordinate the inventory management function and correct reporting of quantities.

o Manage scanning to locations

o Ensure loads Scanned
