Coastal Carolina University Manager of Central Receiving - CCU in Conway, South Carolina

Coastal Carolina University is accepting applications for the full-time position of Manager of Central Receiving (Supply Manager II) in the Office of Procurement Services. This is a full-time position with benefits. Primary work hours are 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. / Must be flexible to meet special scheduling needs of the University. Reporting to the Director of Procurement Services, the position, under limited supervision, manages the Central Receiving area of the University including receiving, distribution, and inventory control to ensure the University's objectives related to goods requirements and sound inventory management are met.Duties will include, but are not limited to:Managing the processes of receiving and distribution of supplies and equipment obtained via University purchase orders and purchasing cardsEnsuring receiving records are properly recorded and maintainedOverseeing the prompt and accurate receipt of supplies and equipment physically into the warehouse and onto the appropriate accounting recordsEnsuring the tagging of appropriate items is completed within specified time periodsEntering all identifying information into the inventory database, including calculating total costs on new items, and making revision entries for internal departmental relocation of items; supervising Central Receiving staff to ensure the department meets its objectivesCorrespond with the University's Controllers Office and Accounts Payable on matters involving receiving and inventory recordsServe as the University's main liaison with the S.C. State Surplus Office including coordination of removal and/or sales of surplus and obsolete items per the requirements of S.C. codeOversee an annual physical inventory of tagged University property and preparing associated reports of sameManage a system for the recycling of surplus departmental itemsEnsuring the Central Receiving Warehouse is maintained in an orderly and secure mannerModel, promote, and ensure exceptional customer service delivery to all constituents, including, but not limited to, faculty, staff, students, visitors, and the community at largeRequirements:Must have a High School diploma or equivalent (GED) / A bachelors degree in a business-related field and one (1) year of experience as described may be substituted.Two (2) years of work experience managing a receiving, distribution, and inventory control operation, including employee supervision, is requiredPreferred Requirements:iFive (5) years of work as described is preferrediA bachelors degree in accounting or other business-related field is preferredKnowledge of State of South Carolina laws and regulations related to surplus property preferrediCertification as a forklift operator preferredWork experience in a central receiving operation, including asset value calculation, for a higher education institution is preferredPlease click iHow to Applyi in order to see the next step in the application processi
