Coastal Carolina University Instructional Support Coordinator - CCU in Conway, South Carolina

The Coastal Carolina University LIFE program seeks a dynamic individual for the position of Instructional Support Coordinator (time limited with benefits), reporting to the Assistant Director of the LIFE Program.Normal work hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. / Must be flexible to meet special scheduling needs of the University.Responsibilities:Providing instructional supports, classroom instruction and advising based on students individual needs in a hybrid setting (in person or virtual instruction)This position requires a person with strong communication and organizational skills, the ability to multi-task and flexibilityDuties include, but are not limited to:Recruit and train instructional support mentors for students enrolled in the LIFE programProcess and track new hire paperwork for paid and volunteer mentorsOrganize and record mentor/tutor availabilityMatch mentor/tutor schedules with student schedulesAssign mentors/tutors to provide support to LIFE StudentsCoordinate mentors/tutors for small group instructionCo-teach mentor courseFacilitate monthly mentor/tutor meetingsProvide advising for one cohort of LIFE studentsMeet 1:1 weekly regarding: 1) attendance; 2) students social and campus engagement; 3) academic/employment goals and interests; 4) roommate relationships; and 5) Level of support provided by mentors/tutors, and mentor/tutor attendance; review support needs, upcoming homework assignments, moodle and email access, academic and employment goalsDevelop and deliver instruction for LIFE program related coursesAssist in the development of employment supports and task analysis for LIFE students in employment settingsProvide job coaching supports as neededOther duties as assignedRequirements:A bachelors degree in special education, social work, rehabilitation counseling, or a related field and experience working with young adults with intellectual/developmental disabilities are requiredThe preferred candidate will have a masters degree in special education, social work, rehabilitation counseling, or a related field and two (2) years experience working with young adults with intellectual/developmental disabilitiesPlease click How to Apply in order to see the next step in the application process
