We are seeking dedicated Data Specialist candidates to develop a stable, long-term career with our expanding Digital Services Center’s Data Management Team. This is a clearly defined role which follows established processes, and requires a high degree of accuracy, efficiency and initiative. As one of our Specialists, you will be relied upon for your sharp observation skills and thorough organization and upkeep of our internal data systems for some of our biggest customers across the United States and Canada.
Interpret Utility terminology to complete account setup
Assist with monitoring:
The group email box and ensure inquiries are researched and replied to within 24 – 48 hours
The data system inbox for blocking and non-blocking exceptions; research / resolve exceptions per set protocols. Escalate exceptions where appropriate
Use address change and historical data to gather reports and work accounts as prioritized to ensure timelines are met
Register accounts on vendor websites and document online credentials
Initiate and confirm mailing address changes and request historical cost and consumption data by communicating with vendors via website, phone, email or fax as needed.
Review and verify historical cost and consumption data to ensure accuracy and inclusion of all details needed for processing; create templates in Excel
Update and maintain our data systems on confirmation of address changes and receipt of historical data for accurate metrics and reporting
Assist in the research and resolution of historical data gaps to ensure complete data is available to customer users
Perform at or below Target Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) per Standard Operating Procedures
Participate in the re-evaluation of current processes and offer suggestions to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of each process.
Select appropriate processes from clearly documented rules, past practices or new instructions
Seek advice and guidance on non-routine or problem areas from senior department members
Refer complex, unusual problems to senior department members
HS diploma or equivalent is required
Entry level skillset with up to 2 years of successful experience in a similar phone and/or data-based role, generally comparable with the tasks and responsibilities as presented above
Strong verbal and written communication skills; phone experience
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to research and navigate websites and internal systems
Excellent time management skills
Type a minimum of 45 WPM
Proficiency with 10-key-by-touch is a must
Microsoft Office Suite – proficiency in Excel a must
