Vectrus CIRCUIT ACTIONS TECHNICIAN III - SPECIALIZED in Columbia, South Carolina
Senior Circuit Actions Technician III supporting operations for the AFCENT A6 at Shaw AFB, SC. Provides the circuit actions tasks IAW DISA Circular 310-7-1 and the task/delivery order. Supports the day-to-day operations of the circuit management office. Also supports the day-to-day operations of the Tech Control Facility.
MAJOR JOB ACTIVITIES:
Provides operational status reporting (IAW DISAC 310-130-2) to the appropriate operations center as directed by the COR/TPOC relating to network operations and participate in information dissemination IAW DISAC 310-130-2.
Provides support for preparing and presenting activation and deactivation reports and provides technical and operational support to functional users. Receive feeder request from internal and external customers to start, updating or discontinuing services. Validate the request for an understanding of what is required, and if need be request clarification from the customer for the areas of the RFS that are not clear. Once the request is validated, submits the Request for Service (RFS) to DISA. Maintain an RFS tracking database on all RFS’s received and processed.
Coordinates circuit implementation troubleshooting as required and ensures that the Communications Control Office or Communications Management Office submits completion reports by DISA directives when the circuit is accepted by the government representative.
Circuit Action Officer provides technical and functional advice to both internal and external customers on standard procedures and practices for all aspects of provisioning ensuring compliance with DISA departmental and interdepartmental directives.

Common office equipment: computers, software packages, phone, etc…
Work environment is estimated to be 95% indoor in a climate controlled facility..
Must be able to lift 40 pounds.
Education/Certifications: One year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required.
Must have at least five years of USAF staff-level circuit management office experience
Lead level “hands on” work experience installing new communications circuits. Must have the technical knowledge to solve complex problems, understand the interrelationships of circuits, and be able to exercise independent judgment in performing tasks in support of communications systems or equipment. Minimum of five years’ experience in activating new Tech Control Facility circuits with the equipment as specified in the task order, to include the following:
NET Promina equipment
KG, KY, KIV and ancillaries
Patch panels/maintenance panels
Fiber optic modems and interface cards
Lead level of experience in circuit actions at the base, camp, station, MAJCOM, unified command, or component level.
