The Medical University of South Carolina College of Medicine in Charleston, S.C., invites applications and nominations for the position of Professor and Chair of the Department of Radiology and Radiological Science. Applicants must be Board certified in Radiology, possess outstanding leadership skills and administrative experience, and demonstrate a strong commitment to clinical care, education, service, and research.
The department consists of approximately 40 faculty representing the major subspecialties including abdominal imaging, breast imaging, cardiovascular radiology, musculoskeletal radiology, neuroradiology, nuclear medicine, pediatric radiology, thoracic radiology, ultrasound, and vascular-interventional radiology. Faculty lead innovative research projects in cardiovascular imaging, neuroradiology studying the effects of spaceflight on the brain, and in the field of vascular interventional radiology. The department has a longstanding commitment to outstanding resident and medical student education in addition to multiple fellowship opportunities.
The individual selected for this position will also be considered for appointment as Chief of the Radiology Integrated Center for Clinical Excellence within MUSC Health, which could include accountability for the evolution and implementation of Radiology services across the health system.
