Job Summary: Under general supervision of the Clinical Trials Office (CTO), Manager of Clinical Operations, coordinates and supervises complex data management activities involving protocol management including data management, and specimen submission. Patient follow-up, patient caseload and data management. Provides core support for oncology research studies at the Hollings Cancer Center.
35% - Maintains current, long-term follow-up and survival data on assigned patient caseload. Data submission is timely and accurate per the protocol, patient calendar, and source documents. Patient management will include all disease programs and multiple protocols - (Essential)
20% - Coordinates the reporting of adverse events based on the NCI Common Toxicity Criteria, (CTC). Adverse events are submitted for multiple disease programs on multiple studies. Data is submitted to various sponsors, research bases, FDA, & the local IRB as per institutional policies - (Essential)
15% - Prepares, transports, and handles blood borne pathogens and other biologic specimens following OSHA and IATA guidelines. Collection of pathology specimens and radiology images at designated time points are submitted to study sponsor. - (Essential)
15% - Utilizes EPIC electronic medical record system and is competent and efficient in abstracting the required source documents for patient research charts. Utilizes data collection method instruments and computer data programs for all studies. Data Entry and query resolution on multiple NCI sponsored Cooperative Group websites and sponsor websites. Utilizes office tools including SharePoint, Velos, Clinical Data Center (CDC) and Rapid - (Essential)
15% - Process protocols and patient related documents and data forms. Compiles lists, maintains patient/study calendars, and creates and maintains necessary documents. Resolves sponsor queries correctly, completely and in a timely fashion. Process request for pathology slides and shipping slides to sponsor. Supports the Study Coordinator as needed with patient protocol visits including QOL surveys, escorting patients to various locations on campus and picking up IDS oral study medication - (Essential)
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: A high school diploma and two years relevant program experience. A bachelor's degree may be substituted for the required program experience.
