Job Summary: The Division of Cardiology in the Department of Pediatrics at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston is seeking a full-time Adult Congenital Heart Disease (ACHD) Provider. Given the nature of our care model, the ideal candidate will be board certified/eligible in internal medicine, pediatrics, pediatric cardiology and adult congenital heart disease. The candidate’s primary clinical responsibility will be inpatient and outpatient management of adults with congenital heart disease in our Adult Congenital Heart Association ACHD Accredited Comprehensive Care Center. Other clinical and academic opportunities are available and can be tailored to individual interests.

Our cardiac program has a long history of stability and is the only congenital surgical and interventional center in South Carolina. We provide comprehensive care for complex medical and surgical patients from newborn to adults in our 29-bed dedicated cardiac unit. Approximately 400 cardiac operations per year are performed at our center. We are one of 6 programs in the country with a 3-star ranking reported by the Society of Thoracic Surgeons, the highest category for quality and outcomes.
The position includes a continuing academic appointment in the Department of Pediatrics at the Assistant or Associate Professor rank on the tenure track.
