Hubner Quality Assurance Technician in Charleston, South Carolina
Position Functions:
Take part in Quality related issues, such as:
Preparing quality documentation;
Providing work instructions /procedures/check sheets, etc.;
Calibrating equipment for quality control;
Inspecting incoming and finished goods;
Assist with activities to meet ISO 9001 / 14001 registration requirements; to include:
meeting all performance objectives and targets,
management and maintenance of appropriate documentation,
implementation of corrective and preventive actions,
serving as an auditor on internal/external Quality System audits, and
continuously strive to improve quality throughout all aspects of work.
Conduct quality inspections of bellows, frames, floor/ceiling covers and other products using standard metrology tools and techniques.
Ensure completion of in process inspection Forms and other quality documents.
Assist with new project implementation activities to assess adherence to Drawing specs
Correspond with customers and troubleshoot or conduct root cause analysis on customer complaints
Assist with Process audits to assess product quality and customer specifications against standards and requirements.
Educational Level for Position:
- Bachelors degree in related field or a minimum 3 years Quality Assurance / Quality Control experience
Special Skills/Qualifications Preferred:
SAP experience
Knowledge of ISO 9001/14001
Knowledge and experience with FAI/PPAP Processes
Ability to handle multiple tasks and shifting priorities.
Ability to read and interpret prints and drawings with GD&T knowledge or experience
Ability to learn and operate Coordinate Measurement Machines (CMM) and other metrology equipment (calipers, micrometers, optical comparator, etc)
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Familiar with standard Office Technologies, including but not limited to Microsoft Office Suite
Quality Engineering or Certified Quality Technician equivalent training or experience
Must be able to climb up steps, under/over/around tables and other obstacles to inspect materials while also being able to lift, push or pull heavy objects of 50 lbs or
