SC Department of Public Safety Administrative Specialist II (61033240) District 6 Office in Charleston County, South Carolina
Assists District Office with answering telephone, screening calls, and forwarding to the appropriate personnel. Assists with disbursement of incoming and outgoing mail from district office. Assists Administrative Coordinator with record retention compliance for District, Customer Service Requests (Customer Service Center Tracking System), Freedom of Information Requests, parade letters, tracking dedication and memorial sign requests. Serves as administrative support for District Mechanical Engineer, District Traffic Engineer, District Permit Engineer, and District Maintenance Engineer offices. Also, handles training and hotel reservations, assists with other recordkeeping and clerical duties as needed. Assists in maintaining traffic correspondence files and DEA correspondence files. Assists District Safety Officers with recordkeeping and data entry. Maintains right-of-way files and assist in research of SCDOT right of way inquiries. Performs related duties as necessary.
Minimum and Additional Requirements
A high school diploma; or an approved acceptable equivalence in accordance with State Human Resources Regulations. A valid motor vehicle operator's license is required.
