AnMed Health Rehab Aide in Anderson, South Carolina
The Rehab Aide is a non-licensed worker who is specially trained under the direction of clinical staff to perform designated routine tasks related to the operation of the Rehab Department. Responsibilities are to support the clinician in order to maximize their efficiency. Job duties may include but are not limited to assisting clinician with simple patient care activities requiring two people, transporting patients and supplies, preparation, cleaning and maintenance of treatment area and equipment, and performing basic clerical duties. The aide will consult, coordinate and communicate with department staff, nursing, and other members of the interdisciplinary team as appropriate. Daily activities are performed with a positive customer oriented attitude. Assist Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, and Speech Therapists with patient evaluations and treatments, retrieving needed equipment, cleaning equipment, and maintaining department supplies.
Qualifications: Requires High School Diploma or GED equivalent. Must be able to transfer an average adult patient at a weight of 150 pounds. Must have communication skills necessary to positively interact with patient/family and hospital staff. Certification in CPR and basic life support required within six months.
