BAE Systems Weld Production Supervisor in Aiken, South Carolina
BAE Systems is seeking Weld Production supervisor with hands-on experience in welding / fabrication.
Within this role, you will:
Drive the long-range strategic planning process for operations by overseeing and managing machining work centers.
Supervisory employees in a weld manufacturing environment
Translate customer requirements into state-of-the-art manufacturing strategies and processes, resulting in cost-effective processing.
Develop operations-related plans, budgets, and policies and procedures.
Maintain safety and regulatory compliance relating to the production facility.
Select, develop, and evaluate personnel.
Lead VSM projects, A3 / problem solving events, and other Operational Excellence initiatives
Required Skills and Education
Typically a Bachelor's Degree and 2 years of supervisory experience OR an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
Able to lead teams of skilled trades persons from diverse backgrounds in a dynamic, manufacturing shop environment.
Experience in VSM projects, A3 / Problem solving, TPM, and Operational Excellence initiatives.
Capable of balancing multiple priorities without sacrificing quality.
Good analytical and problem solving skills. Follow through with problem solving.
MS Office software capabilities.
Maintain labor accounting and reconcile time cards of reporting employees.
Able to assess weld procedures and work with Engineering for streamlined processes.
Able to document and counsel employees as required per policy, i.e.; attendance, performance.
